Pearls are one of those things that never seem to go out of style, and always bring a touch of elegance to any outfit. Akoya, South Sea, Tahitian, Keshii, Mabe, and Freshwater – these are the six types of cultured pearls. And each can be found at Diamond Design in a rainbow of colours, shapes, and sizes, in necklaces, bracelets and rings.
Cut plays a big part in determining the value of a diamond. Done well, it allows the maximum amount of light to enter and reflect back out of the diamond. If “the cut” is too deep or too shallow, light can spill through the side or bottom of a diamond and be lost, leading to a less brilliant display and a less valuable diamond.
